Grandparents Day

Thank you to our Grandparents for your legacy of love, wisdom, and sacrifice.

Each year, the Central Catholic Community invites the grandparents of freshmen to attend a very special afternoon with their grandchildren.

Grandparents are invited to enjoy lunch at the school and share in the spirit and talents of our students. Tours are available after the luncheon for those interested in seeing their grandchildren's school.

Class of 2027 Freshman Grandparents Day

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, the Central Catholic Family welcomed 650 people to our Freshman Grandparents Day!

All attendees - freshmen, grandparents, and friends - enjoyed lunch and a musical performance.

Following the program in the Memorial Gymnasium, students led their grandparents on tours throughout the school and visited the Raider Campus Store.

Our President, Mr. Christopher Sullivan '81, for his welcoming remarks;
Our Band Director, Mr. Bruce Denmead, and our student musicians, the Raider Jazz Band, for sharing their musical talents;
Our student volunteers from the Student Alumni Association for their hospitality and service;
Mrs. Vicki Blaszak, Campus Minister, for leading those present in prayer;
Sevmar Mediterranean Bistro and Ms. Jocelyn Maroun '04 for catering a delicious meal;
Colony Foods and Mr. Paul Barbagallo '98 for donating the bottles of water;
Tripoli Bakery, Mr. Rosario Zappala '66, Mr. Matt Zappala '89, and Mr. Andrew Zappala '96 for providing cookies for dessert;
Our Director of Buildings & Grounds, Mr. Tim Whyte, and our maintenance staff, for taking care of the logistics that made the day possible;
Mr. Shawn Hanson, our Systems Administrator, and Mr. Hamid Faiz, our Manager of IT Services, for their technology expertise and support;
The CCHS Parents Guild, whose volunteers provided hospitality, helping to set up, organize, and serve!

And perhaps, most importantly of all, thank you to our Grandparents for your presence in our lives and for your legacy of love, wisdom, and sacrifice.
